Fundraising Events!!!

Come one, come all and be a heart hero at PS/IS 178's two fundraising events. Jump Rope for Heart is open to children in the elementary school who collect donations and Hoops for Hearts is open to students in grades 5-8. Both events are to raise fund for the American Heart Association. Participants must return their collection envelopes by Monday, February 7th, 2011 to Mr. Sanchez.

Jump Rope for Heart we be held on Tuesday, February 8th from 5-6:30pm in the school gymnasium. All participating students must collect donations and be accompanied by an adult. Students that do not collect donations cannot participate. Donations will be welcome at the door as well.

Hoops for Hearts will take place Wednesday, February 9th at 5pm. This event will be a 3v3 basketball tournament for students from grades 5-8. In order to participate, students must collect a minimum donation of $75/team. Teams and students need to return their collection envelopes by Monday, February 7th, 2011. The tournament will be a double-elimination, mixed ability level, and co-ed basketball tournament where all the players win by collecting for the American Heart Association, and the winning team wins a prize.

Following the Hoops for Heart fundraiser will be our annual Family Basketball Night. Parents are welcome to play in a friendly game of basketball along with other parents and some of your favorite teachers! Donations for the American Heart Association will be welcome at the door.
